Jan Blenman has considerable practical and broad based experience in marketing from both the Petroleum Marketing and Telecommunications industries. As a Project Manager at Cable & Wireless, she managed the first phase of the Rebalancing Strategy project, designed and implemented the research and segmentation models to support the project and prepared submissions to the Steering Committee, the Government and the Regulatory body.
She has developed, implemented and managed various market research projects, defined and implemented marketing strategies, developed marketing plans and assessed project performances. Her experience includes roles as Marketing Communications and Promotions Manager, Assistant Management Accountant and Economics and Planning Analyst for a large multi-national petroleum company. Other roles include Marketing Research and Product Management and Project and Marketing Sector Management with the Cable & Wireless group.
Research projects completed include communication and sponsorship awareness and effectiveness studies, advertising concept testing, brand, culture and image testing, pricing, segmentation and demand studies across the private and public sectors, within the Caribbean region. Some research methodologies used include Telephone surveys, Personal/Face-to-face interviews, Internet research, Mystery shops, Focus Groups, Mail surveys and primary data research techniques.
