CEO MACO Investment Group/Team Leader
Neysha Soodeen is CEO of MACO Investment Group and the founder, owner and Managing Director of Toute Bagai Publishing Company, publishers of MACO Magazines and other Caribbean publications.
Inspired by her passion for the Caribbean, Neysha has been the driving force behind the launch of over 20 magazines within the region, and has worked with tourist boards across the Caribbean on marketing initiatives and events such as the Saint Lucia Food & Rum Festival, Holders Opera Festival in Barbados and the Barbados Gospel Fest.
In 1998, Neysha moved from her home island of Barbados to Trinidad, her birthplace, to launch the Caribbean’s first oversized glossy magazine under the MACO brand. MACO Caribbean Living magazine was not only the first Caribbean-produced glossy magazine to be retailed throughout the region, but also the first to be internationally retailed in the US, UK and Canada, reaching major bookstore chains such as Barnes & Noble and Borders.
Since the launch of MACO 15 years ago, Neysha and her team at Toute Bagai Publishing have expanded the company’s portfolio of magazines to four. Today TBP manages contract publishing of magazines and books, as well as website development and management for a number of Caribbean and International clients. Toute Bagai Publishing is now considered the largest magazine publishing house in the Caribbean, and has received many international accolades, including international SAPPI print and design awards.
In her latest venture, the development of the online travel agency hybrid – an online Caribbean lifestyle and travel guide, Neysha plans to once again raise the standards and expectations of what is capable in the region.
